CBENT Named One of 15 “Scientists in Synagogues” Communities

Sinai and Synapses, fiscally sponsored by Clal – The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, is thrilled to announce the selection of Congregation Beth El-Ner Tamid as one of its 15 recognized communities as part of its project “Scientists in Synagogues.”

The selected organizations will receive $5000 for programming, as well as guidance and mentorship from both Sinai and Synapses and AAAS DoSER. They will run a minimum of four programs addressing issues around science and religion between July 2023 and December 2024.

The Creative Crafters (formerly Knitting Club) at CBENT meets twice a month on Thursdays from 1 pm – 3 pm Knitters, crocheters, needle pointers, sewers, jewelry and bead makers and other crafters are welcome to join in the fun to create their work in a friendly environment.
