The Art Spieller Sports Night continues to be postponed due to difficulties in obtaining a commitment from a speaker. We will announce a new date as soon as possible. We may have to postpone this event until the Spring time; however, we will have our Chanukah Raffle drawing at the Purim Bazaar on Sunday, February 21, 2010.
Planning is ongoing for our Closing Event for Sunday, June 13, 2010. The focus of the evening will be to honor Cantor Hilton Maze for his dedicated Cantorial Service to BENT. This will be followed by “An Evening of Comedy” featuring comedians Ben Kurland and Paul Lyons.
The BENT 2010 Adbook campaign started in January, and we are very fortunate to have Rich Gordon again as the Chairman. A mailing has gone out to our membership and to past advertisers. Please help us solicit ads to benefit our synagogue and to honor our very own Cantor Hilton Maze. This is an important fundraiser for the synagogue.

1. Sunday, March 14, 2010: Men’s Club Continental Breakfast featuring our BENT Co-President, Andy Rosenfeld, playing the violin in a new Klezmer Band called the “Klezmer Klassics.” We expect a large turn-out for this exceptionally enjoyable event; therefore, we need your advanced reservations by check ($5/pp.).
2. Jeff Orloff has booked a baseball game and tickets ($30/pp) reservations are now being accepted to see the Champion Phillies play the Florida Marlins on
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 7:05 PM at Citizens Bank Park. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come basis.

Please note that most of the Men’s Club Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Synagogue Library. We meet for only an hour in order that the meeting will not interfere with your schedules. The next meeting will be on Monday, February 1, 2010. Please come out to give us your ideas and suggestions, and enjoy an hour with us. New Members of BENT are particularly welcome. Remember, synagogue membership includes your membership in Men’s Club and there are no further dues.
